"GRITS" was founded in August of 2008. It was established for teenage Christian girls. The charter chapter consists of 19 girls. This charter group of girls attend various churches in surrounding areas. The churches represented are Harmony United Methodist, Glennville First Baptist, Claxton First Baptist, Glennville First United Methodist, Cornerstone Baptist, Pineview Baptist, Rehoboth Missionary Baptist, Watermelon Creek Baptist, Calvary Baptist, and Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church.

"GRITS" is a group of teenage girls who have a desire to know more about the Bible.  Our 7th-12th grade "GRITS" meets every Tuesday morning at Pinwood Christian Academy.  During this time they have a light breakfast, catch up with each other, and have their Bible study time.

The "GRITS"  first  study was done on Hannah in the Old Testament. This story is found in the book of I Samuel in the Old Testament. They used a book entitled "Hannah's One Wish" by Kelly Minter.

Their second study was on Esther. The story of Esther is found in the book of Esther, in the Old Testament.

Their third study was on Ruth.  The story of Ruth is found in the book of Ruth, in the Old Testament.

Their fourth study was "Dateable", are you? are they?  By Justin Lookadoo and Hayley DiMarco.

The "GRITS"  newest study is called "Great Love" for girls.  Truth for teens in today's sexy culture.  by Chandra Peele and Aubrey Spears.  This study will begin the first Tuesday in September.
